RE: Thread or Window
Just because its Win32, doesn't mean you have to use its API. I prefer writing non-platform specific code if I can.

RE: an't use internet after installing messenger plus
My guess is that you keep accepting the sponsor program, and that is crashing IE. Next time you reinstall Plus!, do so without the sponsor program.

RE: Monty Python sound plug in
EDIT: Damn the replies came thick... Both people have to have the plugin. And yes, /xmpfart is an action command.

RE: Thread or Window
Mnjul, you don't have to QueryInterface, a mere typecast to IMessenger3* will do the trick (not pretty though I admit). CMI, if you want to fire off a new thread in C++, just use the following function call:
_beginthread(<funcname>, <st...

RE: The OS wars: outcome decided!
It is possible to make huge wads of cash from a free operating system in at least two ways: 1. Redistributor of pre-burned ISOs (there are many vendors of Knoppix discs for example). 2. Offer complete solutions including tech support e.g. Red Hat Ent...

You do realise that the page is little more than a bit of fun?

RE: The OS wars: outcome decided!
Get a Knoppix CD from www.knoppix.org. Or, get a Gnoppix CD from www.gnoppix.org.

The OS wars: outcome decided!
Those who don't like Linux can have a good look at this page: http://srom.zgp.org/. Just look at that green bar next to Linux... Oh... by the way... Linux rules! Mind you, Windows rules as well.

RE: TabbedMSN help
I think, with TabbedMSN and Cameno, that there are already enough tabbing plugins available.

RE: TabbedMSN help
No

RE: TabbedMSN help
Quit Messenger, then run the installer, clicking 'unInstall'. Then you can restart Messenger, and it should be gone. If not, manually remove TabbedMSN.dll from Plus!'s plugins folder (usually C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\Plugins).

RE: TabbedMSN help
There doesn't seem to be that option it seems... also, I don't like the way it starts Windows Messenger when you enable it. If I had written that plugin, I'd make sure it didn't run Windows Messenger at all.

By all means.

RE: TabbedMSN help
If I had the plugin, I could find out, but I can't seem to find it.

RE: TabbedMSN help
I imagine you can change that.

RE: TabbedMSN help
I believe Cameno embeds the convo windows in its own. TabbedMSN probably adds a new menubar or something to the convo window. To hide/unhide the menu bar, use the small button in the top left: [img]http://shoutbox.menthix.net/attachment.php?pi d=27494...

RE: TabbedMSN help
I've just thought of something... do you hide the menu bar? If so, that could also be hiding the tabs.

RE: open hotmail in other prog. then IE?
Windows Update has to open in IE, as it works via an ActiveX control. IE is the only browser that supports ActiveX technology. BTW, ActiveX is one of the reasons IE can be hijacked... earlier this week MS released a critical update for it tha...

RE: [split] DMessengerEvents in Messenger API (C++)
He doesn't do anything. The way it works is, on machines running other than XP, MSN Messenger implements the API. On XP machines however, MSN Messenger uses the implementation code in Windows Messenger, much in the same way GameSpy Arcade uses Inter...
