RE: D-Link Wireless card issues Nope. Nothing changed when the problem happened. Could it be the XP driver has messed up the card or something? | Reaper | Tech Talk | 08-13-2008 at 10:39 AM |
D-Link Wireless card issues I recently bought a D-Link DWL-G510 Rev C2 wireless card. It's installed in my desktop PC running Vista Ultimate. It has had its ups and downs, so I'll explain... Installed the card and used the Vista drivers from the D-Link website. Seemed to work... | Reaper | Tech Talk | 08-12-2008 at 10:59 PM |
RE: PS/2 Keyboard not working Doesn't show anything keyboard related. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 08-06-2008 at 11:53 PM |
PS/2 Keyboard not working I've just upgraded my brothers computer. The keyboard he's using is the same as before, no problems at all before the upgade. I put in the XP setup cd, but when it comes to the first screen (press Enter, F3 or R) the keyboard doesn't work. USB key... | Reaper | Tech Talk | 08-06-2008 at 11:38 AM |

RE: utorrent downloading slower through router than directly through modem. Sounds like a port issue as mezzanine said. You will need to navigate to your router page (192.168.2.1 in the web browser) then add the port you have given in utorrent and type the IP address of your computer, then it should be better | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-16-2008 at 07:59 PM |
RE: PC cannot see wireless networks Yeh cos when I previously updated to Vista (this is like the 3rd I'm using Vista on this system) it worked fine without me even changing the drivers. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-15-2008 at 05:56 PM |
RE: msn slows down computer Open up the task manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and click the processes tab. If you press the CPU column header twice it will sort the processes by the highest CPU usage. The higher the number the slower your computer (except for the System Idle Process) Whe... | Reaper | Skype & Live Messenger | 06-15-2008 at 05:54 PM |
RE: PC cannot see wireless networks Bit of a bump and an update. I formatted my drive and downgraded to XP and the wireless card (not the dongle) is working fine. How come this time around with Vista it did not work? | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-15-2008 at 05:02 PM |
RE: PC cannot see wireless networks That is true. When I diagnose is just says the wireless network adapter on this computer cannot connect to a wireless network because there are none in range. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-14-2008 at 10:47 AM |
RE: PC cannot see wireless networks There is no switch (its a PCI card) and I never used the software that came with it when it was working. I tried using it now and it can't find any networks either. I'm using a Wifi Max USB dongle to connect atm and [s]it works fine.[/s] Seems lik... | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-14-2008 at 01:14 AM |
RE: PC cannot see wireless networks Well, on the part of the card where the aerial is there are 2 green LEDs. One is called POWER and is static. The other is ACI which doesn't light up. IIRC the ACI used to flicker/flash every so often. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-14-2008 at 12:51 AM |
PC cannot see wireless networks I've had so many problems recently 8-) Anyway, I just installed a fresh copy of Vista on my new pc. But for some reason I can't find any networks. The drivers hava been installed properly. I've even used the XP driver as well as the Vista d... | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-13-2008 at 10:46 PM |

RE: External HD caddy problem Damn i was afraid of that. Is there absolutely nothing i can try to make it work? | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-10-2008 at 02:49 PM |
External HD caddy problem My external hard drive has gone crazy on me. When I plug it into a USB port on ANY computer is shows the device is not recognised message. RE: CPU question I know that the L2 cache of the Q6700 is 8Mb compared to 4Mb of the Q6600. I've settled for the Q6700 cos the Q9450 is a bit too pricey and the Q6600 is not much cheaper than the Q6700. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-04-2008 at 08:18 PM |
RE: CPU question Last time I checked was in January so you're probably right. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-02-2008 at 11:31 PM |
RE: CPU question Well, at the moment i have a 3.0Ghz P4 478 :|. I'm kinda building it so I don't really need to until another 3 or even 4 years. Isn't the Q6700 quieter than the Q6600> Unless I read the article wrong. I'm looking at an 8800GTS (new one) for my G... | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-02-2008 at 11:24 PM |
RE: CPU question I never usually over clock cos I don't feel the need to. And with cooling I will likely get something good anyway. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-02-2008 at 09:45 PM |
RE: CPU question Lol at QX9770. Im siding with the 6700 cos its not much more expensive than the 6600 and worth the extra money. the 9450 is a bit too pricey. | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-02-2008 at 09:32 PM |
CPU question I'm buying parts for my new computer. For a cpu (all Intel), should I go for a Q6600, Q6700, Q9450 or something in the QX range? Thanks [Edit] I'm using the PC for gaming mainly | Reaper | Tech Talk | 06-02-2008 at 08:47 PM |
