RE: Embedding .flv file into a website
You need a player to play the video... look at the examples on the DreamHost wiki and notice how they link to a .swf file where you're linking directly to the .flv. :p

RE: Re: More noticable 'incompatible..' banner on forum?
Blah... I haven't bothered trying to make the banner more noticeable yet because I assumed Patchou would have an update out by now. :\ I guess I'll add it to forumdisplay since that's an easy thing to do. Another idea is to add some kind of image...

RE: suggestion
What if the Javascript just scaled down all images in posts (enforcing a maximum width, like IPB) so they couldn't mess up the layout? Then the thing wouldn't be as useful, and images would be scaled even when the special tag forma...

RE: suggestion
That kind of scaling would have to be done on the client side with Javascript, since the server doesn't know the dimensions of the image at the specified URL. I think the way Invision Board does it is pretty nice... maybe I could implement something...

RE: new header bug?
The text is white, and so are the snowflakes... I thought it looked kinda dodgy no matter where I positioned the text, so I just hid the text. =/

RE: Which Xmas theme do you want?
I was thinking about adding another theme so both Nathan's and andrey's could be options, but I didn't have time today. :( I did change the header to Nathan's just now because I like the more random snowflakes. The navigation links are hidden unl...

Of course, but there are lots of colors (I count 17 for PHP), and I'm not a web designer, so I don't want to do that work unless I have to. (a)

RE:

suggestion
That just allows you to get GeSHi formatting without syntax highlighting:
text code! indented 1 indented 2 indented 3 >>>very important line :o<<<
RE:

suggestion
The thread isn't over yet. ;o I still have some work to do on the syntax highlighting feature, but it's mostly done now. To use it, just specify a language within the opening code tag, like
...
.
/...

RE: Reputation display bug
The same glitch happens in Opera if I zoom out at all, but it affects a lot more than the reputation page. I guess it's because the borders are only 1 pixel thick, and the zoom algorithm reduces some of them to 0px for some reason. =/
