RE: bgsvcgen.exe? I checked the file and it's located in the c:\windows\system32 folder. I scanned it with NIS2005, NOD32, Spyware Doctor and Spysweeper and none of them report it as malware. RE: S.M.A.R.T. Fail Status This is just an update, I'm still using the same SMART fail hard drive on a 24/7 basis since I created this thread and it has been performing flawlessly. Of course I'm also backing up regularly just in case. | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-16-2007 at 07:24 AM |
RE: Outlook or OE as an email client? I was only referring to the mail capability of Outlook, knowing that it has other features like Calendar, Notes, etc. If not using the other stuff, then I think I'm better off with OE as it uses less resources and is faster for its purpose, plus I'... | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-14-2007 at 09:07 AM |
RE: Outlook or OE as an email client? What I do with OE is the usual stuff: create custom message rules, custom folders, block senders, address book, and synch some webmail accounts like Hotmail. What else can I do with Outlook? | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-14-2007 at 05:58 AM |
Outlook or OE as an email client? What are the pros and cons of each? I always used and use OE for email. Outlook seems to be a heavier program, but is it worth the move? | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-14-2007 at 01:46 AM |

RE: Moving contacts from Outlook 2007 to Palm Desktop Palm Desktop only accepts dba or vcs files, and neither of them shows in the export options of Outlook 2007. Regarding why I want ot do this is just because I'm used to the Palm Desktop software, I prefer its interface and search. | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-13-2007 at 11:53 PM |
Moving contacts from Outlook 2007 to Palm Desktop I want to move all my contacts from Microsoft Outlook 2007 into Palm Desktop. I don't have a handheld. Is there a way to do it? RE: Why do people complain about iTunes? But themain complaint I read about is that iTunes doesn't allow copying MP3 files form the Ipod into the PC...is that so? | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-08-2007 at 03:37 AM |
Why do people complain about iTunes? I find it the best media player, in terms of GUI simplicity, fast search, etc. Nevertheless I heard many people complain about it being "proprietary". What is it exactly, in simple words, that iTunes can't do due to it being proprietary? | alegator | Tech Talk | 04-08-2007 at 12:23 AM |

Win Media Center Edition 2005 vs XP Pro SP2 I'm planning on purchasing a PC with Windows Media Center 2005. I always used (and use) XP Pro SP2. RE: How to convert a bootable CD into a bootable DVD? Thanks Andre.Your outlined procedure worked flawlessly, and I chose to burn the DVD with DVD Decryptor itself. How to convert a bootable CD into a bootable DVD? I have an ISO file which is a bootable CD. Nero will only accept to burn it into a CD, not a DVD. How can I make that ISO burn into a DVD so that I can boot from a DVD instead? Thanks. | alegator | Tech Talk | 03-11-2007 at 04:00 PM |

RE: "FNPLicensingService.exe" in Task Manager Isn't Wintasks like Windows Task Manager? I mean, that it will allow you to stop the running process but not uninstall it from the system permanently? In the latter case, how do you do it? Thanks. | alegator | Tech Talk | 03-10-2007 at 12:54 AM |
