PC Infrared Port

When adding a contact I get immediately deleted?
This is the situation. It happened to me 4 times already. I'm given a hotmail address and I add it to MSN. As soon as I add it I check with Noroom List Manager and that email address is listed as having deleted me from his contact list. When installing MSN Backup my firewall is reporting that "MSNBackup.exe is attempting to listen for connections from other computers". Hotmail upgraded to 25mb!!!!

Blocking a contact in MSN Messenger
I know that when blocking a contact in MSN Messenger, it will prevent that contact from seeing me online. My question is if blocking it will also prevent receiving emails from that contact when that contact tries to email me thru Hotmail?
