Did you use the latest version 0.93? If so, repair/re-install Messenger, then run the patch again - making sure Messenger isn't running. If messenger isn't running, just click ok - it will proceed to patch.. If you receive the runtime error on the last screen, where it says "Patch Done." - then it would have patched messenger successfully..
