RE: [release] Love Test :O
I like this script, especially because it gave me 95% with this girl I like. :) The input box is a bit finicky, but it doesn't take much editing of the XML file to make it look decently pretty. I've got mines set at a minimalistic size atm. (I move...

RE: PS3, Wii or Xbox 360?
Originality? Last I heard the best title for the Wii was Legend of Zelda, closely followed by a Super Mario game... The main games I see taking advantage of the Wiimote are sports games, such as bowling or maybe golf. Personally if I wanted to go bow...

RE: J2SE Runtime Environment
Yes, you can. However, in the unlikely event that your integrated Java (ie, in Internet Explorer / Firefox, etc) stops working, just repair the Update 9 from Add / Remove.

RE: PS3, Wii or Xbox 360?
I'm getting a PS3. Sure, the Wii's controller is probably amazing, but the titles for the Wii aren't anywhere near as good as some as the upcoming PS3 titles... namely: Grand Theft Auto 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resident Evil 5, D...

RE: J2SE Runtime Environment
Yes it's safe to uninstall Updates 5 & 6. I've done this recently for the update from 8 -> 9. Java installs all its files into a separate directory for each update, so 1.5 U5 is in jre1.5.0_05 etc.

RE: TV Card software.
If you use an nVidia graphics card, you can change video settings brightness from the nView panel (<9x.xx forceware) or nVidia Control panel. If you use an ATi, well I guess there'll be a similar option under Catalyst. Saves you having to find more ...

RE: Best Linux distro for a low end machine
I've tried running Linux on lower end PCs, and it wasn't too much fun. If you tried Xubuntu and didn't like it, that means you don't like the XFCE window manager - I think it's alright, but it's by far and away the most lightweight of the three...

RE: What Music Player Do You Use?
I use Winamp, but WMP11 for ripping. I used to use WMP10, but when I upgraded to 11 to try it out, the sound does this nasty volume-normalization all on its own, which is really annoying. According to the settings all that is turned off. Anyway, I'...

RE: [split] BEDMAS/BIDMAS/BOMDAS/BODMAS/...
We're taught Brackets [b]Others[/b], so BODMAS. Personally I think this works, because I can't think of anything else that doesn't take priority over D/M, and it covers all of Exponents (which are the same as indices) but also surds (which are 1/i...

RE: Need suggestion about buying a mp3 player
If you're looking for something other than an iPod (lets face it, almost everyone has one, so they're not cool... and Borat is right, iPod Minis are for girls ;)) then you may want to check out the Zen Vision M. It has the added benefit that it can...

RE: Windows Script 5.6
Which Windows version are you using? I seem to recall that Windows XP SP2 has Scripting 5.6 already installed - I have vbscript.dll in my Windows folder and I cannot recall installing it. It's also possible that if you're not using an Administrator...

RE: Your Most Hated/Liked Teacher
I'm in my last year at school, I don't particularly have any teachers I don't get on with. There is of course Ms. O, who I don't personally get as a teacher (she teaches French, and I didn't want to take it at the start of the year), however she...

RE: Lost Series 3 [Spoilers]
The only thing is, six episodes a week, even if it started today (I don't actually know when it starts) takes it to the first week of January, so there's not actually that much of a cliffhanger. I remember when I watched Stargate on Sky One, they ...

RE: Firefox 2.0 Is Out!!
I'll probably leave it until it's available on the homepage to download it - I doubt there's much difference between RC3 and the release version. That's included by default in Fx 2.0 anyway. The only extension I don't have working is Fasterfox,...

RE: Internet Explorer 7 is now out, what are your views?
This bugs the hell out of me. Not only does it change it in IE7 - which I'll only ever use for Patch Tuesdays - but it also changes it in things like the MMC (services.msc, etc), my active desktop (which thank God still works, but looks horrible) a...

Yeah, wasn't really thinking straight when I wrote that... I used an on-line integrator (its the first hit for "Online integrator" on google :P) and it gave (3x^4 - 1) ^-1 . I don't think it's right - doesn't differentiate to the correct resul...
