RE: Your Views: Religion
The most common argument I hear to answer this is "free will". Apparently, any harm that befalls a human being is their own choice. I suppose it is in basic logic, but that makes "God" out to be a pretty crappy guy if he created viruses etc. (An...

RE: Your Views: Religion
Do you believe there is a god/s? Not sure. I don't believe any creation stories up to the point of the big bang, but after that, I have no idea. What do you think of Religions? Bad. Ok, so maybe most people that are religious don't go on killing s...

RE: Autoresponder fails on MSN 4.7 (msgplus ver 3.63)
I would assume he means Windows Messenger, since the only v4 of MSN was 4.5. Unfortunatly, I don't have a solution to your problem :(

RE: Your views: Life after death?
Except I'm pretty sure that Dinosaurs couldn't do things like immaculate conception, etc. We could probably survive anything thrown at us atm :). Unless you believe in the Big Crash theory :) [hr] I agree with the people that say we just stop. But...

RE: Unable to uninstall/remove Windows Messenger
Just a side note, if you're willing to reformat your PC, you can use nLite to *safely* remove Windows Messenger from your system before you install. At least I think it's safe, I've been running like this for almost 2 months now :) Note: Doing tha...

RE: [Request] Unread Mails in psm
I don't think Plus! depends directly on the Windows Messenger executable file for it's API, as I have slipstreamed Windows installation which doesn't have WM installed, and Messenger Plus! (Live too) works fine.

RE: Connection Error
Just to confirm, this definetly isn't caused by the Plus! Live 4.01 update, as I tried it on another PC on my network (using WLM) and I couldn't sign in. * Although I just got on now, it took 3.5 minutes. I'd speculate that it's because of the up...

[Beta-Release] World of Warcraft Items
[b]World of Warcraft Item Data Retriever[/b] What it does: It gets data about the item you type in from Allakhazam's XML backend and sends it to your contact. Why's it useful: It isn't really, unless you play World of Warcraft, and even then it'...

RE: Hard drive revived!
I don't know *why* it works, but I do know that sticking a broken hard disk in the fridge for a while will allow it to boot [u]for a few hours[/u]. After that, it's gone.

RE: Problem with Msn Live
Since you've said you reinstalled, I don't think this is your problem, but to note: You're using WLM 8.0.787, and this patch is for 8.0.792, so it should be incompatible..

RE: virtual PC is free
VMWare's player has actually been free for a while, you just needed to find the blank OS image to get it up and running. To be honest with ya, when VPC was owned by Connectix it was alright, and it supported Linux. When MS bought it, all Linux supp...

RE: [Help]Returning the inside of a string...
Thanks guys, I think I've got the hang of it now. -dt-'s script worked pretty much straight off once I took the \g out to \. <-- (Edit: That period is the end of the sentence, not \.)

[Help]Returning the inside of a string...
I'm developing a [s]mod[/s] script atm which adds extra bb code tags (wont say what it is atm) but I've run into a little problem. I was originally planing to use match and substr to try this, but I'm hoping there's a better way. What I'm stuck ...

RE: Vista 80% chance to be released
Whether it releases on time or not, 400MB RAM usage for an OS (this was on my PC) is unnecessary. I mean, seriously. Anyway, I reckon it'll be delayed. :)

RE: Cool Javascript :P (tested on IE and FireFox)
I think it leaks in Firefox, it's making my WinAmp stutter after a few minutes of being de-active-tabified.

RE: Colouring [code][/code]
I think the problem with Greasemonkey was people used to think it's a security issue before realising it's quite hard to install a GM script. I personally like this idea, though it might be simpler for the coders to make a program that they can dow...

/ping command
I don't know where to post suggestions, but a little suggestion of mines: In future versions, would it be possible for the /ping command to return instead of just resp(time) something like Resps (Messenger Plus! 3) or (Messenger Plus! Live 4)?

RE: WLM file sharing and call problems
NTFS is the filesystem used by Windows NT (funnily enough) and FAT32 is used by Windows 95OSR2/3, 98 and ME. Luckily, Windows 2000/XP can understand both, however NTFS is the only FS which uses Metadata for files, with extended attributes such as se...

RE: Games unavailable
Yes, but as long as there's nothing actually listening on that port you're not vulnerable to attack. (Unless there's a major bug in the underlying OS handling of ports, but there doesn't appear to be one in Windows). If you already have a trojan,...

That's an old statistic. If you have all the latest security patches at the moment there are no known widespread security holes in Windows. Not intending to attract unwanted attention, but I've only been using the Windows Firewall for the past ye...

RE: Can't Run The installshield???
Also, I think there may be a bug in the installer. Look at the folder name it's trying to create. It has a ? and a : in it, which aren't valid folder names on Windows.

RE: Changing the build of WLM
[url=http://www.heaventools.com/download.htm]PE Explorer can help you change it, I done it a while back. It's quite a powerful tool though, so it may take a while to find the correct section to edit the build number :). I can't comment on the tool ...
