RE: The Final Fantasy Series
Actually, tried that, it's nearly impossible. Anyway, 7 is the only one I haven't played through because I've not had access to it, ever. But I now have it, and with the XP Patch I'll probably play it through this weekend. I played through 8 la...

RE: The Lost Thread *SPOILERS*
Episode 20 was a real shocker all right, I sat staring blank at the screen for ages, when I looked back again WinAmp had looped round to 5 minutes in again. I can see what people are getting at with Michael freeing Henry to save Walt, but my theory i...

RE: chat software?
Something like this, assuming it's like the other chat-software out on the net, is actually quite complicated to set up correctly. Most software like this utilize either PHP or ASP on an HTTP server, such as Apache or IIS. So the page doesn't have ...

RE: 8.0 Earthquake off of New Zealand; Tsunami Warning Cancelled
In reality, if "Global Warming" does exist, then it would actually happen like that - at least in Europe. Except for the whole thing about the guy going to save his son. And it disappearing after a few days. Basically, the gulf stream carries wate...

RE: New WLM build
No, you don't need WGA installed for it to work. I have however noticed that it randomly reboots my machine when I'm talking to certain contacts. I'd test it further, but it's not worth getting bad sectors over :s

RE: how to change the .dat files
Ah yeah, what I was meaning was that afaik there's no way to tell what the image is without opening it or renaming it to its appropriate file type. But of course, it's a pretty simple job to get a program to iterate through each file and move it to...

RE: Another IDE Drive
Just something to point out: SCSI HDD's aren't designed for home environments, and should not be used in cases where the computer will be switched off at night. Something to do with spin-down and spin-ups (SCSI drives operate at 10kRPM which is fa...

RE: Lost Season 2 - Starts Tonight (England)!!!
I almost stopped watching after Ep 6 or 7... but something kept me watching. Won't say why as to not spoil it for the C4 watchers :D. It gets kind of interesting - there haven't been any for like 3 weeks in the states, that's probably why ...

RE: New WLM build
If I remember correctly, the MSN Beta versions had debugging features in them, which is most likely what is happening here. This makes it easier to find bugs, but makes memory usage get pretty high. Hopefully in the release version they'll take the...

RE: how to change the .dat files
Copy, paste and rename. If the extension (.dat) isn't visible, open the Tools menu in explorer, and head down to Folder Options. Click the View tab, and then in the box at the bottom uncheck Hide extensions for known file ty...

RE: Signing-in as 'Away Idle'
It could possibly be a bug, if what I gather is:- "Users are being offline then signing in as idle." Possibly the status signal sent to the server sets your status as "Idle" instead of "Away" when you choose "Away" as your sign in status, owi...

RE: graphics card
I've got me one of these. . Runs pretty sweet in most games, FEAR struggles a bit on high though. It is AGP, so if you have a PCI-E slot on your motherboard it won't help you unless you buy an adapte...

Not to mention those uber-cool XHTML logs. PS. Didn't Plus! used to have it's own polygamy, but it got removed for some reason?

RE: [Sug] ctrl + n for nugdes
I'm sure there's already a shortcut in MSN 7.5 to send a nudge, it's Alt-N. Or at least it is in WLM 8, they might've changed it but it was definatly in MSN7.5, I just can't remember if those are the right keys. :D

I don't visit windows update frequently, I visit it every time one of my tech rss feeds puts out a message that there are new updates... I mean what's the point of checking it every day when MS say that they'll only release them on certain days?
