May I make a suggestion for the reputation system here? :undecided:

RE: general increase of user on the forums
Well, a relative increase I'm sure that will happen

RE: Prune inactive members?
They annoy! :D:P Anyway, they're wasting names and messing up statistics, a non-poster is not a member, because s/he doesn't participate in the forums in any way, usually. So all member stats shouldn't consider all non-posters. Anyway... wasted na...

RE: general increase of user on the forums
I'm afraid in April there will be another bunch of registrations. You know: holidays, MP!3, interesting members (H), *cough*stupid*questions*cough* Well, great board anyway ;)

RE: Prune inactive members?
I thought of it some days ago and I didn't dare to ask :P Inactive members annoy, specially all those no-posters. Can't there be a 'pruned' group that requires a new activation but with the possibility for new members to take their names. Of cour...

RE: Letting other's know you have Plus!
:dodgy: If you use those weird-functional chars (backward status text, wingdings-font), are you cheating with the protocol? Noway. So why should this do so? Well, I think it's a good idea and would open a door to ineroperability and major features ...

RE: general increase of user on the forums
HUH, Choli, the eegg :P Well, considering that in 8 days we are in March 272 is more than the last months' average. At the end of the month we'd have about 925 registrations. It reminds me to the MP!2 boom, so with the MP!3 announcement and launchm...

RE: Letting other's know you have Plus!
No, it isn't. in the name one can write whatever one wants, so there's no violation :). A couple of weird chars don't harm. ;)

RE: Coming Soon: Custom Tabs + Mess.be games in MSN Messenger plug-in
Very interesting to see some people are working hard to add interesting features using MP!'s ablity to add home-made plugins to Messenger. Great news! (Y)

RE: Letting other's know you have Plus!
Yeah, I agree. But let's say I open a convo with you, and I don't have MP! installed: nothing will be sent along with my name. So it's rather useless that you send the information I won't parse in any way. If I had sent this information, and you...

RE: Letting other's know you have Plus!
Privacy is not violated as long as there's an option to keep some information private. The way I suggest, violates neither the protocol nor the privacy. If you want to tell others you have MP!, it tells, if you don't there are two ways: 1- Keep see...

RE: Letting other's know you have Plus!
This is the idea, but there's a way to get to it. Not so simple ;) The fact is that it's a violation to ping silently in that way, but I'm sure there should be another way to do this without protocol terms violation. Touching the headers makes it...

RE: MSN Messenger 6.2
They actually shouldn't or how much time does this -> take to load ? And this has several frames... If the file sending was a little bit more cleaner an reliable there shouldn't be many problems to get animated icons through. A good and MS-a...

RE: MSN Messenger 6.2
I guess it's a big bandwidth jump, because emoticons should arrive instantly. So they'd have to add size and total-size-at-once limitation which may result into a little more dodgy situation than the actual.

RE: MSN Messenger 6.2
It should implement custom animated emoticons for once!

RE: Plus! in a PC magazine
Now I remember a Spanish mag that had an extense article about MP! No scanner :undecided: PC Format is a great mag we had here in Spain for a long time but the editors decided to discontinue selling it here :'(

RE: Letting other's know you have Plus!
If that's possible it's a great suggestion. But I'm afraid of there being any MSN-protocol violation... Anyway, nice enough to give it a try :)

RE: New Program - Messenger Plus! Community Forum Message Maker
Btw, now that I noticed. The RC1 doesn't accept strike-out as we know it, now it just show a Copyright symbol (to lazy t look after it). Well that's what I saw on my board... [s]wrong[/s] --> (C)

RE: 2 suggestions: (!!X) and truncate contact names
The second suggestion I would extend to: cut-off all carriage-returns (new lines) and show them as spaces or even have a customizable textfield to add the character you put for replacing them, but I think that goes too far :P Anyway, You can s...

RE: How can you see if someone opens your conversation box
He himself said it might be buggy since it's a beta, maybe I've got an old version. But he gave up developing plugins for MP! didn't he?

RE: How can you see if someone opens your conversation box
DJMystic's os very buggy, I don't suggest it at all, because it usually crashes Messenger and apparently tries to open up conversations with other contacts than the one who opens the window.

RE: javascript POST?
The IP's are dynamical... In many cases more unexpectable than cookies. Cookies can be deleted by the user, but the user has no control over the IP's. Some countries may have fixed IP's, but, as the number of free IP's is becoming very little (w...
