I really don't know, are you sure of closing msn in the right way? Like try to close the convo then exit msn with the tray icon. Im not sure at a 100% of what I'm saying but.. that's weird because Custom names usally only work when you set your list to show by e-mail ( it's even said in the preference window ) " Enable Custom Contacts Names (activates "view by e-mail") " So..
