RE: Receiving MSN messages in the mobile phone
Joao, It has nothing to do with any phone software, or what type of phone you have - it is basically an sms message. Alegator, your checkbox is probably greyed out because you haven't set up anything in your 'mobile settings' - had you been able t...

RE: Computer troubles, ???..cause remains mystery.
I do recommend the repair install, it only changes system files and it even keeps your programs so you won't have to reinstall them again. A google search for "XP repair ...

My guess would be a cor rupt registry? I remember having a similar problem, but as far as I can recall I don't think I could even get into safe mode, and like you I couldn't perform a successful s...

RE: Bluetooth Headsets for MSN/Yahoo voice conversations
Hi Alegator, I see you got a bluetooth adapter then? :) That's not true, Zaher - Provided that the pairing devices both use the same profile (ie. in this instance 'headset') then they should communicate nicely. I know there are some devices which ...

RE: Recycle Bin
If you want to retrieve the files, I suggest you make as little changes to your hard drive for now. I've got a handy utility somewhere, let me find it. Edit: http://downloads.pcworld.com/pub/new/utilities/fil e_management/REST2514.EXE Someone's stol...

RE: Format USB Memory Key :S
Here's a page I came across while I was waiting for IBM's free 32Mb memory key, which I don't think anyone actually got :'( So I don't know if the method works, but check it out anyway and let us know if it does: [url=http://www.techspot.com/vb/...

My father used to take the computer cable with him so we couldn't use the computer, but I created my own lead, complete with dangerous exposed wires :) If this kid is determined as I am I'm sure she'll find a way around most barriers..

RE: Limiting access for kids
Hi, packagedeal - you may want to check out McAfee - Privacy Service - it allows you to limit where and when your child can go on the internet, it also monitors and logs what they do. It also...

RE: Wap GPRS settings for I MATE Pocket PC
I really don't know, this isn't my forte. I'm not sure about some of the settings you just mentioned. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that you could only access supported sites using WAP?

Yeah, that's what I noticed too. But perhaps if it's a smaller country it's not so much of an issue?

RE: Wap GPRS settings for I MATE Pocket PC
I'm not sure if mine is the same as yours, but try this: Start -> Settings -> Connections -> GSM/GPRS Settings -> Edit Network Parameters -> WAP Information -> WAP Gateway I don't know what port to use though. The other IP settings should be...

Hi! You can't hide the option, but you can encrypt your log files so that they can only be read with a password - more information can be found here.

RE: Outlook And Gmail (an error)
Yeah, I had that problem alot when I was on dialup. I can't remember what I had to do, but I'm pretty sure I always ended up deleting the email completely (not just moving it into the trash) using their webmail service. Try restarting outlook again...
