RE: Your views: Life after death?
Well, I always try to be "correct". Thus, I think when I die, that's it. I died. And I won't come back and float around as an entity (< :p sorry). But I love things that are not real, I'm a writer, anyway. I have a big imaginat...

RE: invisible mode
"Appear Online" in WLM does allow you to chat to contacts (can't remember if this is the case for MSNM7/7.5). Some patches and add-ons allow you to talk to blocked contacts, as well. But there's no way to detect this.

RE: Forcing A script not to record an event
There's a LogEvent function in the MsgPlus object for the scripting engine. *-) IMO, Patchou should try (because maybe he can't prevent it) not to log the events generated by scripts, and let them use this function. That way, the script could have ...

RE: Menu Checkmarks
Consider that the menu is formed, generally, when the function onGetScriptMenu is called (when you click on the Plus! icon on the main WLM window and chat windows). You return the menu then. So, instead of checkmarks, why not just create the ...

RE: Script Help....
You shouldn't create windows in the Initialize event, unless you're already connected. Try doing it on sign in, or verify the current status and the MessengerStart variable. From the script documentation:
Scripts should keep their initializa...

RE: Question/suggestion regarding the new Plus! emoticon panels
Well, it's all in the registry. Even if Patchou doesn't make it directly possible in the scripting engine, I think it can be done with a script, since the emoticon panels are lists of already defined (non-)custom emoticons. Now, I'm not sure what ...

RE: Scripting documentation bugs
Btw, I wanted to know something. In the scripting docs, SetControlText and GetControlText don't mention EditControl. Or is it just me not reading well? (because it does work for that control)

RE: does a registry string exhist
I already said in that post of mine, that if the person wants to directly return the string, then they simply change that part. As for the empty string, true. But that function is specifically done for that purpose. I just kindly gave it out as an ex...

RE: does a registry string exhist
I use this to check if a key exists. It returns true if it does, and false if it doesn't exist. [u]Btw, it doesn't check for a value, just a key. But you can modify it. Instead of "return true", make it "return tmp" and check the returned value...

Have you thought about looking at the site, Lou? => http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/
When you want to calculate a hash, use: <script type="text/javascript" > hash = hex_md5("input string"); </script>
RE: Opinions on the Sponsor Testing?
:P It must be embarrassing to admit they're in for the money? But that's true. For something that must be constantly done (and no one really gains anything), it's clever that they pay. Anyway, I applied. Dunno if Argentina has a big public, thoug...
