RE: "The cake is a lie" in your language
taart = pie that's why I chose to use "cake" but "gebak" may be better indeed ;) (although I'd translate "gebak" to "pastry") edit: just checked, babelfish says cake = cake :P

RE: displaying pics that are not local, can it be done?
I gave it a shot today, here's the result. It's not been thoroughly tested, but it does its job. Please note that it's disabled by default so you'll have to specify an URL and enable the script in the settings window first. (or you could do it by...

RE: "The cake is a lie" in your language
literally translated to Dutch it would be "De cake is een leugen." though I wouldn't use that sentence myself :P but that's just because it makes no sense And yes, we use the same word for cake

RE: displaying pics that are not local, can it be done?
could be done with a script i think. it would need to redownload the picture every x mins (30 in your case) and set it as your DP. I might script it sometime soon if i can find time and if nobody else does it before me :p

RE: Baseball Players & Steriods.
depends... if some players are on steroids, then it wouldn't be fair to the ones that aren't. (unfair advantage it's called I believe) however, if ALL of the players are on steroids, that argument wouldn't hold anymore, but I highly doubt that's...

RE: All in one protection
Nah I was at a friends house recently and they have NIS 2008. However, I find an entire toolbar in IE, just to show that NIS is enabled, just bloat. I want my AV to only show me anything when there's something wrong (except for the t...

RE: Ok weir bug in WLM 8.5...Office instead of hotmail
hmm that's strange, could be a bug indeed... I use WLM 8.1 so that might be why the solution I mentioned didn't work for you. What in the world has an HTML editor got to do with reading emails? :S Does this problem also occur on a clean, unpatched...

RE: Ok weir bug in WLM 8.5...Office instead of hotmail
Change your default email client to Windows Live Mail by going to Control Panel>Internet Options>Programs tab There you can change the Mail dropdown to contain Windows Live Mail. This should solve your problem, which is not a bug by the way.

RE: Reply button on Poll Center forum
How about an option to (dis)allow replies when you create a poll? I've seen it on other fora and in some cases it's quite convenient to be able to explain your vote. though I think dz is probably too lazy to add the functionality /me runs[/...

RE: Virus found
lol norton again =/ why do people keep paying for and using that crap anyway? The only things it's good at is hogging resources and reporting false positives... believe me, you're not the first to experience this. (and probably not the last either:...

RE: [Discussion] Skinning copyrights, cloning, and idea recycling
I'm not a skinner, but I have wrote some scripts in the past. It's not exactly the same, but I'll drop my opinion here anyway. Back when I used to script actively, I regularly took a look at the source code of other interesting scripts. Not to cop...

RE: A question about MSN remote desktop
you could set an autoreply on the target PC, so that if you (or anyone else, so be careful) send eg. "connecttoremotedesktop" and the target pc will reply with "/assist", asking you to start remote desktop edit: I'm not sure if you gain c...

RE: Windows Live Mail opening in Firefox?
whizpopthat, your method will not work in any way. If it was that easy, why would people ask this question? I mean, if someone wants to open his mail in firefox, they probably have set it as their default browser already. If not, then doing so won't...

I've had this problem when I tried to remove those items with a-patch (maybe messpatch too). unchecking the "remove billing information menu" option in a-patch will leave you with just one submenu
