Sounds like a resident process virus - I hope that it isn't though, those are far from good news. i dunno how to explain it, but there might be a prob with his rom chip (inside the player) i have a 256Mb jump drive but after i fill it by half, i get an error saying "Data error - cyclic redundancy check". Had same prob and the only to fix it, after hours of tests and trying different whatnot plus hours on the phone with M$ too, the only thing left to do was to reformat.
