RE: HP: DH (Predictions)
I dunno, to quote Dumbledore
"It is important to fight, and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated."
RE: HP: DH (Predictions)
Actually when he is in the chamber he is actually sucking life out of Ginny, if he didn't stab the diary with the fang, then Tom Riddle would've come back to life and Ginny would die.

RE: HP: DH (Predictions)
JKR did. She said that being dead and staying dead is one of the most fundemental things in the whole book. Otherwise it basically undermines the whole point of the series. It was in a really early interview, like before the fourth book came out. [h...

RE: HP: DH (Predictions)
Dumbledore will not come back from the dead, there was no elabroate trick involving dumbledore's animagous being a phoenix or anything. The simple reason is that JKR does follow traditional literary conventions and almost all great stories have the ...

RE: Is there a way to "link" scripts?
If it is a script you want to release publically, then just send a quick e-mail to the creator of the script asking if you can use it.

RE: So, the rain is still coming..!
Some people we know had a house that was flooded because their house was sort of lower than then the rest of the street. Their insurance now costs loads and their house is basically unsellable, they've turned the whole bottom floor into a massive g...

RE: User's country flag in postbit
The point is that it sets a precident what if some member of ETA decided that they wanted a Baque flag. Or The Principality of Sealand, or The Confederate States of America. Eventually there would be loads of flags that really shouldn't be t...

RE: User's country flag in postbit
We weren't being picky, it is just better that we decide now, exactly what the method we use is going to be, and get it right first time. Then, in about two years, when some new member comes on the forum and says "how come the flag for ______ isn...

But still, they may not know what Wales is, they are more likely to know what the United Kingdom is. What can I say, i'm a unionist :p

RE: User's country flag in postbit
There should be some common sense applied to everything. Yes technically Wales, Scotland, England and NI are all countries. Just in the same way [url=http://strangemaps.wordpress.com/2007/02/20/7 9-east-germany-lives-on-as-a-tiny-carribean-isla.. .

RE: User's country flag in postbit
That is a bad comparison, since United Kingdom is part of the EU too. Also, when people say country, usually they mean soverign state, and neither Wales, nor Scotland are soverign states. So United Kingdom should be the only flag.

I can sort of understand where you're coming from with time of joining, but I still think that the reputation is a far better indicator of the user's helpfulness rather than the time of joining. I still think that we should get rid of the stars, t...

RE: User's country flag in postbit
I just think they're redundant, I could sort of see their use in older times when a) we didn't have as many members, so it was more of a challenge to get to the posting freak level and b) we didn't have the reputation system so the post count was...

RE: User's country flag in postbit
Why not get rid of the stars, they are a bit redundant if you ask me, since most of the regulars have 5 stars already. Then you have quite a bit more space. Also, you could get rid of the Joined bit, which is even more useless if you ask me. And then...

Couldn't you have a few iframes that are really small (1x1) that contain all the data that you need to load?
