RE: MSN Unreponsive on sign-in
What has msn 6 got to do with anything? I have the latest version with the latest Plus! so I don't know what you mean.[hr]OK I've solved the problem. I uninstalled all of the winks (about 200 in all) but this didn't speed up anything. So I then un...

RE: MSN Unreponsive on sign-in
It's a brand new computer so the computer speed isn't an issue and I'm on BT Broadband 1mb speed so that isn't an issue either. It has only occurred in the last coupke of days so I suspect it is related to the number of winks/emotes etc but I don...

RE: Trouble signing in (Just my account though)
Yep i can sign in using Web Messenger and Windows Messenger no problem. I did a quick search of the forum and found a thread with a similar problem. Someone here suggested downloading MSNServer beta (or something with a similar name) and this seems t...

RE: Personal messages should be logged
This feature would be great, especially if it included an event log of what songs contacts are listening to. Seeing as they are toasted would this not be reasonably simple? Like take the text from the pop-up toast sort of thing?

RE: Couple of XP questions...
Thanks. However, it is already checked which I cannot understand as it definately does not pop up anymore. Perhaps it's something to do with my firewall settings. I recently installed Norton Internet Security 2005 so maybe this is what is causing it...

RE: Couple of XP questions...
Sorry, I'm probably being a tad vague. The password function I mean is in Internet Explorer. Say, for example, I was logging in to my eBay account. After typing in my password for the first ever time a box popped up asking if I would like the comput...

RE: Couple of XP questions...
Thanks for the reply. The tweaker managed to change the time delay for the slide show as you pointed out so that's great. However, it did not have any options for reinstating the password function. If anyone knows that would be great.

Just a couple of simple enquiries: One - Is it possible to change the delay between pictures in the default slideshow function in 'My Pictures'? Two - Once upon a time I must have clicked on the 'Do not ask in the future' tickbox when XP asked me...

RE: Annoying Windows Messenger!
Both unticked...which is why I don't really understand what's going on here. Maybe they re-tick after a reboot or something...I'll test it out.

RE: Annoying Windows Messenger!
Thanks but I have a way of uninstalling already... The main issue is whether it is advisable to uninstall it as I read in another thread a week or so ago that someone shouldn't uninstall it for whatever reason. Ideally, for this reason, I would like...

RE: Task manager..
Lol d'oh. the reason I asked was that I checked in Task Manager to see my CPU usage and the green meter showed 100%. Therefore I stupidly assumed that the idle processes were what was causing it. Incidentally, I have rebooted and my CPU usage is on ...

Task manager..
My comp is being really slow after a restart and so I checked task manager. A process called 'System Idle process' is using above 90% of the CPU constantly. Is this normal and could this be why it's slow? Thanks, sorry if it's a stupid question.
