RE: Time for a new computer :D
Yeah, as Discrate's post shows, any decent non-stock cooler isn't particularly expensive, and does a better job of cooling.

RE: Time for a new computer :D
You know, why don't you macfags go visit a gay bar or something where you can discuss your love for cock in all the detail you require? Anyway, why don't we get back to talking about Th3rmal's PC's specs like he intended when he posted this threa...

RE: Big noob can't edit Chuck Norris script.
People who don't know how to code should be banned from doing so. Who in the hell thinks it's better to store a list of quotes in an array IN THE CODE ITSELF? /me cringes Hackey_Sack: this is nothing to do with you; the original creator of...

Fences on Windows 7
Anyone using it? Their site says it's supported, but whenever I run anything inside a fence by double clicking its icon, the next time the desktop is refreshed the icon's left its fence and sits somewhere random on the desktop. I googled and can't...

Just curious.

RE: New system
Good point. Went down to 9600GTs and a 650W PSU. Still not getting an SSD though. I think what I have now is probably what I'll end up getting.

RE: New system
I understand what you mean about combining a high-end card with a low-end one and then gaming with the high-end one, and I thought about that myself, but then realised that I simply don't play games enough to bother. As for the SSD, I'm aware that ...

RE: New system
I changed it for a 750W one just to be safe (price difference was negligible).

New system
My old desktop blew up recently (PSU), and since it was a 5-year-old P4 (3GHz), I decided it was about time I upgraded. This is what I'm thinking of:
1x Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard 1x Intel Core i7 9...

Windows 7 with Ultramon
Does anyone who uses dual monitors have Windows 7 (RC1) installed with Ultramon? If so, does the secondary taskbar work properly? This person here says it works with a registry tweak but that the renderin...

Good job. Did you not notice that despite the fact that it was linked to in the original post, no one actually bothered to read it?

RE: how do you get messenger plus! Live on a mac OS X????
Yes, because virtualisation is obviously the answer to everything. Good job in completely missing the point, and proving that you have clue about the difference between running something virtually and natively. You and [url=http://shoutbox.menthix.n...

RE: How the heck does this work? (Start Panic)
Unless it's not obvious by now, all it does is create links to each of the sites in its large database (http://startpanic.com/db/db_en.txt) and check the a:visited colour to see if it's #FF0000. That petition is stupid. This is how brows...

RE: Coding Suggestions?
Yeah, that's something Eddie will have to screw with when he actually makes his design. Padding issues didn't concern me as it was just a demonstration of a 3-col layout.

RE: Coding Suggestions?
Up to now I've always been able to center divs in IE using the fixed-width auto margin method without a problem, and I've never had to resort to that text-align hack. Either way, fixed it using that. Edit: It now works in IE 5.5, 6, 7 & 8.

RE: Coding Suggestions?
http://gifpaste.org/eddie/ That's just to demonstrate a 3-column layout. It takes very little CSS and even less HTML to make it work. I tested it in Firefox, Chrome, IE (7, 8), and Opera. Right now it's fixed-width at 800px, but it only takes a tin...

RE: PHP Question
I would consider the explicit comparison to TRUE an issue of style, which is why I didn't complain about it.
if(file_exists($llama) == TRUE){ include ($llama); } elseif(file_exists($llama) == FALSE){ include("error.php") }
You seem to know what you're doing, so why do you write code like this? Assuming no caching, not only does it requi...

What a coincidence, so do I! I can't believe the sarcasm dripping off my post wasn't obvious..

RE: One single partition or two?
No. You can't install different operating systems on different partitions. Not only that, but you also can't split up your OS and data over two partitions so that if the OS messes up you can format its partition without needing to back up data. J...
