The sponsor program isn't a virus. It just ads a few adverts to Internet explorer. You don't have to install the sponsor program if you don't want to. Right Click on My Computer and go Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Tab > Settings ( In Performance ) > Visual Effects. Are they all unticked..? Just a random guess.
