RE: Doctor Who - Not the last of his kind? [Turned into discussion]
Clone himself to keep company...? ^o) I think that's about all you can do with a severed hand, but how should I know, I'm not a severed hand specialist, especially not a Time Lord's severed hand specialist. Bah.

RE: Signature competition
My really bad attempt (I could probably do better, but I cba to find the Paint.NET Reflection plugin and the winner doesn't get anything in this competition):

What Should I Buy?
Ok, so I have AUD$10.00 now, and I'm waiting on $30.00 to come my way. If/when I get that money, should I: a). Try to get something useful like a Celeron D CPU (outdated 478 pin) on eBay to go with my untested Shuttle MV43, or; b). Head over to the ...

RE: doctor who time vortex screensaver
Not really. I'm looking for something which is basically an OpenGL rendering of the time vortex like in the opening and closing credits. I think I did see something like it in Ubuntu, but as far as I can see it hasn't been ported and anyway it did ...

doctor who time vortex screensaver
I've tried the "official" one from bbc.co.uk, but it's slow and has an ad on it. So is there a good version that uses OpenGL or something? or is there anyone here who is good with OpenGL? Thanks in advance :)

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
I found the problem: I was using the right drivers for the card (WinFast A250 128MB DDR). I tried the GeForce4 Ti 4400 drivers (which I remember seeing before I formatted) and it works like magic. I'm now just playing with it, looking at the presets...

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
Thanks Cookie. I'll just head over to Leadtek (or whatever it's called now...) and see if it supports OpenGL. :) EDIT: It doesn't seem to, although what you said about that probably isn't true unless I missed another thing (don't slap me again p...

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
What do you think is the problem then, if it's not OpenGL or the lack of it? -When I click "Preview" or wait for it to come on (I experimentally set it on 1 minute), the screen goes black, I've tried waiting to see if it's just going slow, but i...

RE: What is the best Graphics card for a 22" LCD
optimal performance? well let's see here, it doesn't really matter what card you use for a 22", so, logically I'd say the top of the line. Obviously. :)

RE: AMD or Intel
I guess I'd vote Intel, as I am (hopefully) getting a Celeron D (2.66GHz) CPU off eBay. This one's going to take over my old AMD Athlon :D

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
OS - windows XP Pro SP2 It's not asking for anything. It just doesn't work. On the site it says it requires some OpenGL files, I'm just not sure which ones. Here's the site, if you don't know: http://www.maddogsw.com

I'm just wondering where I should go to get the OpenGL files that apparently make the Flurry screensaver work. Any help is appreciated :)

RE: Error when trying to Share a Folder[Fixed]
Perhaps it's because you have XP Home? This OS, I imagine, as I have Pro, would not have so much "advanced" features as MS probably thought Home users would be complete n00bs at computers and would not need it. My two cents :D
