How about.....

I guess by the main contacts screen you mean the contact list... next to the search for contact box theres an add button and then two arrows one going up and one going down. click on the arrow button. Yes i had this problem in the old build.. I used msn or web messenger for a month or so and then returned to wlm worked fine:D.. I have a friend who had an e-mail saying the servers are being updated and to give it some time.
