What I suggest (this is what I do when reinstalling my software) is to not use the Wizards that come with Windows. Make sure the drivers are copied from your CD for the wireless adapter. I got 5 Ubuntu discs a while ago to test it out and share it (like it said to :p). I ran it off the CD as I didn't wanna install it reinstall windows to make it a dual boot machine.
