RE: Online logs: Discontinuation of service
A step back? Sure. But like Cookie said, it wasn't great to begin with. The cost was probably too much. My concern is that a huge portion of the userbase (read: nearly all) don't use the forums and will probably have no indication that their logs w...

RE: Messenger Plus! announces support for Windows Live Messenger 2012
Huge version increase, then no version increase? How are people supposed to be able to distinguish between a compatible and incompatible MP! 5.5? Please tell me it's at least a different build number

RE: An open letter to Yuna Software
At first I refused to let myself jump to conclusions. Everybody was up in arms about the new ownership, but I decided to let it play out. Adam, I re-read this thread every time a new post is added and have been noticing it as it's happened. I have ...

Are you going to test it this time? Y'know, Save all the embarrassment?

RE: MP! 5.5 Bugs
When I spoke to it, it at least confessed it was a bot, having it pretend to be a human is just out of the question based solely on the shit replies it will be able to give. Bots can not just simply detect a context. A better option for this would h...

RE: Home page changed even though I did not opt for it
But that is not how most other programs work, it is not doing as EXPECTED of it and is therefore bad practice.

RE: Home page changed even though I did not opt for it
This is why I posted the installer checkboxes as a bug in my report, because users expect to untick one and have them all deselected (which is what I'm assuming actually happened here). I can understand the reason for wanting a liaison between the ...

RE: Messenger Plus! Sound Library Fixer (3.00.0021)
I don't agree with it being removed without notice, but it was probably listed as "yet another" virus hosted here on the forums making the site appear less trustworthy

RE: Messenger Plus! 5.5 for Windows Live Messenger released
If it doesn't work, just uninstall from "Add/Remove Programs" and find a link to download the older version. Unfortunately, the previous version isn't linked to on the official site and I wouldn't recommend a download from anywhere else. My off...

RE: Messenger Plus! 5.5 for Windows Live Messenger released
This is the problem, the reason we're all so upset. Any developer knows that any new or modified code needs to be tested (especially things such as drivers). Errors are bad for business. The only thing they accomplish is driving people to the forum...

RE: Messenger Plus! 5.5 for Windows Live Messenger released
Isn't it a big jump in version number considering (as far as I can tell) the only thing added was some video effects? Disappointed with there being no testing (wasn't there a big thing about this before?). As Cookie said, translations are vital fo...

RE: Win32:SwizDrop-BE [Trj] in MSP?
Swizzor was a name associated with a different version of the old sponsor program. You can read about it on these forums, but the fact is that Plus! only included an optional sponsor program which got falsely detected as a threat by AV software. I ca...

Yeah, not even the e-mail to SMS gateways work in the UK from my experience. I've given in and installed Facebook Messenger now... I feel dirty :(

If you want to send me the source code, I can send you my e-mail in a PM. This might be something worth looking at. Obviously I would still credit you for your work

RE: PSM change by script still not working properly
Yeah, but in terms of programming, it's frowned upon. I suspected it was something like this when it was fixed and why foaly was having trouble with skins (Element is not in the same place)

RE: Feature Request: Constantly Visible Download Bar For Sending Content
It was possible to do, but only by sniffing the network packets. There was no RELIABLE way to do this which made development too hard. I did get close to something once, but decided against releasing it due to problems with the packet sniffer
