RE: Is australia really racist or is it a misconception
well they weren't attacking anybody IMO and it was an impersonation so based on the fact that racism deals with "capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race" I really don't see it as relevant.

RE: Is australia really racist or is it a misconception
I feel that's it, if they were insulting heritage directly then it's racist, since they weren't it could be considered offensive but it's not racist

RE: Python help
well this is why I suggested pyglet over pygame, AFAIK in pygame you have an update method just like in pyglet but it needs to be inherited from a sprite object this is a sample I found on the net, [code=python] class Fist(pygame.sprite.Sprite): ...

RE: Response to the nationwide internet filter in Australia,
what issue i might go read that issue again? @Menthix the filter is aimed at protecting minors( < 18 ) from viewing adult content, can you imagine a 16 yr old not being able to watch porn at night, suicides would go through the roof:P

RE: Response to the nationwide internet filter in Australia,
I think the filter is targeted at porn. it's not meant to be about what will filtered, but more about the downsides of the implementation, eg will the filter be so poorly implemented that anyone can just bypass it so easily that it would not be wort...

RE: Python help
yep that's it, you could do it with dictionaries or more if statements, but indexes just seemed like a thinner way to code it, it also gave me less to think about, [code=python] >>> symbol=65361 >>> str(symbol)[-1] '1' >>> int(str(symbol)[-1]) 1 >...
