RE: Screen recorder?
Cam studio should be perfect for you then. I use it as well. It allows you to choose what codec and format to record as, and it's very low resource. If you still like FRAPS, just use Virtualdub to change it to xvid.

RE: Got school laptop, but its restricted..
From my experience, alot of schools like to use their initials as the password to things. Like, if the school is Washington Junior High School, try WJHS. Or, you could remove the drive from the laptop, throw it in an external case (if you don't ha...

I picked up Vista the other day, and am dual booting it along side XP. So far, I like it, and haven't had any problems getting things to work. Aside from one thing. I use an old Voodoo3 as my secondary card, but I can't find Vista drivers for it...

RE: Should i get vista?
Just wait to get Vista. In about a year or so, the majority of the kinks and incompatibilities will be worked out. Don't you guys remember when XP first released? Everyone said that it was crap, don't get it, nothing works with it. Basically, t...

RE: PCI-E and Onboard Multi Monitor?
It can be done with some motherboards, some, it can not. It all depends. Just go down to any given computer store and pick up an el cheapo PCI card, and use them both (If you do this, make sure in your bios you set it to use PCI-E as the first disp...

RE: Processor Advice
Until AMD pulls themselves back into the ranks, and catches up with Intel, I'm gonna have to agree with Jhrono.

RE: Disk Partitioning?
If I understand correctly, then you want two primary partitions. Just make sure the partition with Vista on it comes first (If you didn't know). When I first started messing with partitions, I put it last, and kinda screwed things up.

RE: .Avi
Have you tried using a +R or +RW? Some drives don't like the other kinds. Mine won't write to +R.

RE: Torrent
If you've got yourself an ISO, IMG, or some other disc image, just use Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120% to mount the second disc image. Once it's mounted, direct the installer to the virtual disc drive, and you should be good to go.

RE: Our Body: The Universe Within
The bodies on display are there of that persons own will. Those people sold their bodies to the exhibit before they died, to be dissected and put on display after they died. ::EDIT:: (I forgot to add) I went to see this last year in Denver. I thou...

The world will end someday, but not by natures hand. It'll be our own doing that destroys us. If this world ever sees another nuclear war, we're done for. Current estimated nuclear stockpiles United States: 5,735/9,960 Russia: 5,830/16,000...

RE: YAY Free ubuntu CD's again!
It'll be a while before I can test mine. My main HD ate shit. I can access stuff on it through Knoppix, I just can't boot to it. So I gotta back everything up to another drive, install XP, get that set back up, and then move onto Ubuntu.
