Windows Explorer alternative (suggestions?)
I'm looking into getting a Windows Explorer alternative. There's a few that seem to be pretty good, but I'm hoping you guys can give me some suggestions from experience. They don't have to be freeware, I just want to know what's the best overa...

RE: Do I need any special settings? (Two routers)
I can't seem to get DD-WRT on it. Every time I try and enable SSH, I get some Invalid Value error. It's using the original firmware (0.7.1 r2) so I don't see what the problem is.

RE: What the hack..MSN bug
I have that little issue sometimes. I just refresh my desktop, and the problem is solved.

RE: Running an experiment
I use XP SP2, and have no firewall. In fact, I've never used a firewall. I rarely, if ever have any issues. Once in a while I'll get some spyware, but Spybot does away with it easily enough. On a rare occasion I'll get a virus. Usually just b...

RE: Do I need any special settings? (Two routers)
The router in my house is wireless, but like I said, my walls are so thick, that I can't get a signal outside.

RE: Do I need any special settings? (Two routers)
I'm going to be doing this with a Fon router (being the one outside). I just need to put the DD-WRT firmware on it, which I can't do till tuesday (my day off). If I have any troubles, I'll hit you up then. As for my MSN, it's "dragon_rage3588@...

RE: How do I do this? (schedualed site visits)
I got it. Taskkill does work, just not in the same .bat file for some reason. I just created two separate .bats, one containing the code to open IE and go to the site, and one containing the taskkill line. I just scheduled the taskkill five minutes...

RE: How do I do this? (schedualed site visits)
I tried the .bat approach with scheduled tasks. It works to start the task, but it won't kill IE. I set the time to 300. I'm using XP Pro BTW.

RE: How do I do this? (schedualed site visits)
What number would I set that to to have IE open for about five minutes? I don't know if that 3000 is milliseconds or seconds.

How do I do this? (schedualed site visits)
I want to set up Firefox (or any program, for that matter) To visit a specific address every six hours. Is there an easy way to do this?

RE: YAY Free ubuntu CD's again!
I chose three because I'll be keeping one disc inside my case, so I don't loose it. One attached to one of my laptops in case I need it when I'm out. one one tucked safely away as a "just-in-case".

RE: Bigger Bulky monitor or smaller LCD?
I prefer CRTs purely for the fact that they're cheaper. I picked up a 19" for $45 not long ago. Aside from one dead pixel, it's not bad.

Make sure you stop the process, and then delete the file.

Yea, I tried that script. It only made things worse. And no, transparency isn't enabled. The only things I have on it are plus! v4.20.0.262, Ev0 v1, and a couple scripts (background changer and Enhancer). Though I was getting this crap with a cl...

Hellish processor usage
I'm using 8.0 (8.0.0812.00), and my processor usage is insane when WLM is running. If I have two windows open, WLM skyrockets to around 80% usage. Just idling, no windows open, no nothing, it'll use about 15-20%. I tried searching for this, but ...

Just run by Walmart and grab a set. You won't spend more than $35.

RE: Connecting two pc's
I assume you're using a router. Just run the network wizard on both computers (making sure you name the network on both the same thing) and you're set. Just right click the drive/folder you want the other machine to have access to, and go to shar...
