RE: Anyone good with flash?
Well, you could probably do that in HTML, though you wouldn't be able to ensure they looked at it for the correct amount of time without Javascript. Flash isn't a bad choice- you don't need to muck about with different graphics libraries and windo...

RE: Constant PC Freezing
Sounds like it might be thrashing. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the task manager, and see if there is anything suspicious running. Check your memory usage and see what it's like. Go to control panel - system - advanced - performance options, and ...

RE: What is the best Graphics card for a 22" LCD
It's no different to any other monitor, even for gaming.

RE: Constant PC Freezing
There wouldn't be hard drive activity when it's clamming up would it?

RE: What is the best Graphics card for a 22" LCD
You will want at least 1.6 MB video ram with a monitor that big. IE, it absolutely makes no difference- it's like any other monitor, only larger.

RE: CPU Info
I believe it's set up to play MP3s as well, though it works fine as a web/email/application server, and you can administer it through SSH. Kinda off-topic: I just bought a 1990's Mackin'toosh LC! Twenty Australian dollars and I've got an ancient...

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
Well, yes. But, XP comes with software OpenGL, and almost all video cards allow OpenGL through their drivers, so even if your graphics card doesn't support OpenGL, Windows will pick up where it leaves off.

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
if it installed OK on XP, it's probably not OpenGL that's the problem. Where did you read that? I bounced around the site for a while, but nothing struck me.

RE: Flurry screensaver - OpenGL?!
What is it asking for? Most hardware/OS's come with an OpenGL API implementation, though not with include files and headers. Are you trying to install from source? If that's the case, what OS?

RE: relative short cut
Try opening it from the command line so you can see if it spits out any errors.

RE: Constant PC Freezing
That's actually a good point :P if you've just installed Vista, try rolling back to XP. If you've recently bought your PC [ie, did not upgrade], try a Linux live CD and see if the crashes stop. [You can download a Live CD from the [URL=http://www...

RE: Diffrence Between Windows Vista 32Bit and 64Bit?
You'd think so. Actually, most 32-bit processors have been able to work on 80 bits at a time, the [typical] size of a real in C. EDIT: You should note that the floating point registers in the new 64-bit processors are actually 128 bit wide.

RE: Anyone good with flash?
There are plenty of good quality actionscript tutorials around, however, adobe's flash developer stuff is shareware, you know, you can only use it for thirty days, so I'd recommend you try to start writing your code before you actually open flash c...

like [URL=http://www.tadpole.com/products/notebooks/bul lfrogdp.asp]this[/URL]? Heh. As it is my battery is already pretty short lived, but it's nice to be able to pick up your computer and sit with it cross legged on the roof [with the obligatory b...

RE: AMD or Intel
I'd probably go AMD, just to keep them alive. A monopoly provider doesn't sound like much fun. I have an 800 MHz thinkpad (intel) with 256 MB of ram and it is really quite quick for my purposes. I considered buying a computer recently but the incen...

The Pentium IV is not really one processor, the core has been completely redesigned several times, through NetBurst, Willamette, Northwood, Prescott and Cedar Mill. Other CPUs you might want to look into if you're interested in CPU technology are t...

RE: Microsoft Surface, the new computers?
Something tells me RTS games are about to get interesting! Turn my desk into an extra screen? Yes please. Control things with hand gestures? Yes please. But, it's not the way I would have done those two things. For example, as a control surface, it...

RE: Do you listen to the radio?
I lost interest in the radio, sorry. There's some nice stuff on a handful of smaller channels [or Triple J, a national radio station here] at times, but most of it is just crap. Not as bad as TV [next move I make I probably won't own one], but when...

My only thought is that there may be a keyboard or mouse shortcut in one of your media applications that changes it. You might forget where the keyboard focus is and start typing or scrolling the mouse [eg, scrolling the mouse changes the volume in w...

RE: [split] Ubuntu vs. WinXP
Yes? Though again, that's not part of the server, that's part of what you're hosting. Either way, I'm pretty sure this has little to do with Luka88bg's question :P EDIT: * I didn't understand what you were saying, sorry. You mean an NT Domain ...
