RE: Ex Government Computers Pros & Cons
It really depends on the laptop, I would think a used laptop is a used laptop, government use or not. Depends on how old and abused it is whether it's worth it or not.

RE: Do you recycle?
Where I live, we have normal trash, recyclables, organics, and yard waste. It's really a pain as to what you can put in what bin, but it's really worth it when you think about how much dosn't have to end up in a landfill, which in our case means s...

RE: [self-split] G15 mod
Man, that is exceptionally well done. It looks like the keyboard was meant to be like that. Which forum did you post that on?

RE: Release [Zero-G Version 2.0.1]
I love this skin! Does anybody else feel the need to cover everything on their desk in carbon fiber?

RE: High Gloss -> Yes or No?
The gloss is supposed to give richer colour IIRC. I think it's just a personal preference really. If you like it, get it, if not, don't. :-)

RE: [Update] Deep Blue v1.02
Is it just me or is the skin missing the button to show the menus in the conversation window when the menu bar is hidden? (press alt to access the menu, no biggie) Either way, awesome skin.

RE: HELP PLEASEEE!! (virus)
You could try impFix, a tool which I have used on multiple occasions to remove different WLM worms. Get it here

RE: Problem with Messenger Enhancer-3.0.23.30
It's likely that your browser corrupted the file when you downloaded it, making it unusable, but when you downloaded it again it downloaded properly.

RE: flashing
Yes, I do know what you mean, however, the orange flashing colour is hardcoded into the visual style. You cannot change it without modifying the Windows visual style.

RE: flashing
Actually that flashing colour isn't specified by WLM. That's the windows notification colour. Any window trying to get your attention will flash the same colour on the task bar. You could change it by changing your windows skin, which is a whole d...

RE: Do you think I have a case?
There's always the "phone the bank/phone company and explain the situation and ask nice and hope for a credit from one or the other" route.

It shouldn't be that bad, but i agree with what you're saying. There isn't much choice in that case anyways.

RE: Installing a Hard Disk Drive
OK, since your pc is so cramped, you're going to have a very, very hard time getting a second disk in there. Depending on how much clearance there is between the power supply and the motherboard, you may be able to use thick double sided tape or vel...

RE: Better Processor or More Ram?
I'd go with the faster processor, and put more ram in seperatly. I find that most manufactures overcharge for ram/hdd upgrades in many cases, but you can't upgrade your own processor in a laptop.

RE: Graphics Cards
Crysis plays better on my bfg 7900 gt oc than most 8xxx series cards. I'd suggest either one of those or an 8800 series card.

RE: Different accounts, different resolution.
is there really a purpose to that? By default windows only shows a logon screen on a single monitor, black on the other. (XP, not sure about Vista). If you really wanted to you could switch your profile back to a mirrored setup on exit.
