Hey guys, i have released a plug-in for all counter-strike players (and other hl mods in the future) so they can load the game simply and easily from MSN through plus!

I will make an installer as soon as possible (I Might try the DJMystic one just posted by patchou in a minute), but for now, it is attached as a zip file down at the bottom.

(First Project, and first program released in VB)

This plug-in will allow you to connect to a cs server from with-in MSN which I find usefull instead of copying the ip from my mates conversation, loading the game and pasting it. It also has the ability/option to change your status to busy before connecting.

1.) To Install please copy Tom.dll to your plugin directory e.g (Crogram FilesMessenger Plus! 2Plugins).

2.) Then please load the file called runme.reg, this simply adds a string to the registry for plus! to use.

3.) Register the plugin using regsvr32. This is done by simply typing:

regsvr32 "{Path to plugin dir]tom.dll"

e.g. For Default Plugin die:
regsvr32 "Crogram FilesMessenger Plus! 2Pluginstom.dll"


into run on the start menu.

4.) Restart MSN or use DJMystics MsgPlusrestart.exe to reload plus.

5.) Once done, i advise going into the options box using /xtomoptions and setting ure default settings, which will be saved in the registry for future use.

Commands:

/xtomoptions - Options/Settings
/xtomcs (iport) - Launch CS to the given ip and port (if ip and port are not given, it will simply load cs as a normal shortcut would)
/xtomshare - Will send this plug-in dll to the current contact. This will be implemented fully with an installer in the future
/xtomabout - About the plug-in (Sent to the current contact)

Future:

Support for every hl mod.

I havent been able to test on any other os than win 2k so plz could ppl put this plug-in to the limit

I just tried to make an installer using DJMystics program and im thinking it was either very easy or so easy i did something wrong.

The installer is attached, if it doesnt work, please can you tell me. If you dont like using installers for some reason, then the zip file is still attached to my first port.

Installer has been updated with a new version containing an error routine with thx to Wacko

it works great... both the plugin AND the installer
might be nice if you gave an (error) message, when the path isnt correct/ exe could not be started i could find the problem why /xtomcs didnt do anything
if you use Shellexecute() to start halflife... it returns an errorcode, so you know what went wrong. ie file dont exist etc.

Either way its a great plugin
