O.P. Grin  Suggestion: Shortcut Key for Transparency
Ok, I like the ability to make windows semi-trasparent using Messenger Plus!, but could a shortcut be made to allow it to be turned on and off? Because sometimes I want it on, other times I want it off, but i don't like going through preferences all the time to change it!

A simple key combination is all I ask ;)

Thanks,
Jason Ride

Good Idea - maybe there could be a combination for

(1) Toggle ON / OFF
(2) Increase Transparancy
(3) Decrease Transparancy

Although I can program - I do not know how I can use my VB skills to make a plugin. :(

If you look there are different levels of transparency so how would you be able to control it like that...? And if Patchou made a shortcut for every small feature it would get annoying because they really would get conflicts all the time. An idea would be a command like /transparency (insert percent)% for example...Maybe Patchou would add that in the future...and do be blunt it's not much hassle to go into the preferences...

I disagree, it is rather annoying going into preferences to change it, especially if you do it often. But you have a point, excessive shortcut keys can be annoying and a command would be a good alternative. Or maybe an option so that when the window loses focus it becomes semitransparent, but changes back when you click it?

It's not exactly something important but I'd find it to be useful.

I think you are right about that. But it is just labour saving and if you are doing it constantly and switching between things then yes it has a use. But if you make it so it constantly is doing it, is that wise? You computer all of a sudden will be doing a hell of alot of work with the graphics eating resource, if its a very common occurance.

Would anyone else apart from oticon6 want this?

...a very small amount of memory compared to the amount Messenger itself loves to suck out of your system. I don't really see that as much of an issue.

That all comes down to whether or not Patchou thinks it's a good idea and is worth the time it takes to implement. And there are many options in Plus! that I would never use, so I don't see why this one can't be made better. :D

You've got to realise that Plus! is developed through what people want not what you want...personally I do not want it (and it doesn't seem like I'm the only one) sounds more of a plug-in idea since it's a very custom thing ;)

It only works on Windows XP and Windows 2000. I think you're using 98 or ME.
