O.P. how to send link to local file?
We use messenger & plus to chat in our business on local network (and also when people are elsewhere, but that irrelevant...). So for example I want to tell someone on local network to look at a picture on server like maybe: "\\Server\server c\Photos\boobies.jpg" - can't figure a way to do this. Link looks clickable when I send it, but not when it arrives.

Please make sure you have tried something & for sure it works before you suggest to me.

Thanks for any help!

Sorry, but that has nothing to do with Plus! It's a limitation of Messenger. Well, in fact, that's not a limitation. That's done on pourpose (by Microsoft) to prevent er... I don't know how to said that ... let's say... to prevent dodgy things :P

Only "words" that start with "www.", "http:/", "https:/" or "ftp:/" will be recogniced as links and then underlined.

Thanks.

So no way around this then? For now, I just type in the text, then the other person copies & pastes into a windows explorer address window

I'm afraid that's the only way you have to do it.
