O.P. Possible? Save Target As in convo
Hi I was just wondering, is it possible to make a plugin that let's you use Save target as in a link that you recieve.

What I mean is that if someone gives me a link to an .avi file, that I can download and save it from the convo window without adding the link into my download accelerator or opening it in my browser and waiting until the whole file loads. In theory the same function as what you can do with an url in explorer.

Can this be done?

Good idea!

What i alsoways have to do, is copy URL, go to any forum, paste the URL in new post, than preview post, and only than i can Right Click > Save Target As

This is a very good idea (Y)
I am looking forward to it! ;)

If anyone makes this plugin, I will put it on mess.be, so you'll be sure you will get some users :P

Firstly, it depends on your default browser setting.
Secondly, in most browsers you can set options to how to handle a certain filetype. eg: when I click on a AVI file it will ask what I want to do: "open it with default application (WMP in my case)", "open it with...." or "save as..." .... So instead of creating a plugin, maybe you should check out your browsers settings.....

Also, in most cases, when you hold SHIFT down when you clicking an URL the browser will ask you where you want to save the target instead of opening it. try it...

I have no such option.. using Internet Explorer :o

Also, holding schift doesn't work :(. If it can be changed in the browser, that is awesome. Just wondering if there could be a plugin that just let's you right click :) I'm used to that now.
