O.P. IP address of mail sender?
okay i got this e mail in my gmail account and i wanna know who sent it. so is there any way i can get to know the ip address of the guy who sent me the mail??
also, how can i come to know the ip address of the person i m chatting wid in msn messenger(it was something through dos and sending some file to him, i dont rem)?

First you'll need to view the headers of the mail. To do that, open the message, then click "More options", and finally click "Show original". Look for the lines with "Received: " in front of them, and then start reading them from the bottom up. The IP of the sender should be in there somewhere. There are more detailed instructions on the web if you search...

its there for mail sent by hotmail account, but not there for a message sent thru gmail account!
