I'm considering upgrading to Windows XP: Media Center Edition 2005 but I'd like to know, does Messenger Plus! have any issues with it (to my knowledge, it's basically Windows XP SP2 with some new features )?


Edit: Installed MCE 2005, MSN Messenger 7.0 and Messenger Plus! on my seccondary PC, and all seems well (but (!VER) still shows it as XP build 2600, IMO it should say Media Center Edition @ the end ), so I'll upgrade my primary PC later

They are the exact same versions just different features. Like XP Home/Pro/MCE/Tablet PC all have the same version numbers. Plus! just gets the major minor and revision of the OS nothing else can be done. You can't detect which type of the OS you are using just the version
