the /nick command returns an invalid command call, and i can't use it, any ideas whats going on?

It's working fine with me...

The /nick command does not work with Windows Messenger 5. Is that what you are using?

make sure you're putting a space after /nick, it's a common problem on irc sometimes i think :\,
