O.P. Undecided  "Can not create DirectShow Player"
I've been getting this weird error for a while and well i'm sick of it now :p Everytime i try to play a (WMP) video on my browser (whether i use FF or IE) i get this ugly-looking-grammar-mistake-including-weird-error...

I googled and never found anything...

Any ideas?

Oh... and videos where i can chose real-player or quicktime work like a charm...

Try using WIndows Update to update DirectX.

it won't be able to just update it

he'll need to redownload the redistributable pack from the ms site and reinstall it

once the software is installed Dx won't be on the update site

but yeah, it seems that your Directshow files are hosed, so you'll need to reinstall DirectX(8.0 for 95) and 9.0c for everything else

Hmmm... i do have 9c installed... but i'll download it and reinstall it... hopefully that'll work
