O.P. {SOLVED} WINDOWS folder in recycle bin
My windows folder is in the recycle bin, the desk top one... But when I try to open up the recycle bin it's not there... It won't let me delete it, and it won't let me restore it... :p... Computer still works fine, second time it's done this, the first time I'm not sure how I fixed it since it was a while back... any help?

EDIT: for more detail... Nobody put it in the trash can either... just shows on the desktop.

RE: WINDOWS folder in recycle bin [URGENT]
i get this problem sometimes. it has nothing to do with the WINDOWS folder in your C drive. there are a few ways to get rid of it but not all work:
1) make a file of any kind, for example a text file, then send it to the recycle bin and then empty your recycle bin

2) Assuming your running Win XP or 2000, in the task manager, terminate the explorer.exe process, then run it again by going to the applications tab in the task manager, then click New Task and type in explorer.exe. After this empty recycle bin.

3) Start your pc in safe mode and empty recycle bin

EDIT: instead of double posting and putting it back on the top I'll edit it... Problem solved... not sure how again... But it went away.
