There isn't just a generic format for every program... every program has a different method of storing its serial key...

product key. The one that you have to type in so it can install.
At leats i think thats what he means.

well i "bought" windows xp mce and i didnt come with a key so i would like to know what the key is so i might install it...unless u know where a keygen might be but other wise is there a key veiwer u know of?

The key isnt stored on the cd, it must match a certain algorithm or whatever...that's why keygens work, they create a key that is just the same of one that you buy from the store
