O.P. .Avi/.gif as Webcam source?
Hey,

I was just wondering if a script could be made which would allow a movie, or gif to become a 'fake' webcam source for MSN?

I searched google, and found this:
http://www.fakewebcam.com/

however it costs $20 8-).

So obviously this can be done... but could anyone do it for Plus! Live?

If it can also be made to be 'always on' for every contact, (ie. open webcam for every contact once you log in) then it can possibly be a substitute for animated display pics?

Just an idea.

Hey guys,

I found a replacement program that works just as well, AND its FREE.

Its called Splitcam.
www.splitcamera.com

Basically, you select the source (webcam, video, image etc) and it allows you to send the image over many applications, multiple times.

So you can have 20 msn convos with the video file running, if u want.

So far I've tested one window, and its sorta laggy... I'm waiting for a reply for a solution. Mayb the file is too big? :S
