Is anyone else miffed about the new Send an Instant Message button on the Msngr icon on the taskbar? Whereas in the older versions of Msngr you would only see Online contacts, now you see everybody - online and offline.

I think this defeats the object of the button which is a quick link to see who's online and to send them 'An Instant Message'! The other options available for you aren't the same - Email, Offline Message etc and If I wanted to do those I would go into the msngr main window.

Now I know you can group your contacts by Online Status in the main window but it feels as though the features have been reversed in Live.

Any chance of a feature of plus which allows us to view just online contacts using this button?

Agreed... It's like that because of the new offline messaging feature... But IMO they should change it so you can select "only online", or "only offline"....

and to be honest... WLM's offline messaging sucks.
