im making this poster for this band(Trivium) coz they have a a contest and im wondering what is the best poster maker so i can create a poster for them and the winner gets stuff... gotta find out wat it is....

There aren't many software packages tailored for poster making, but anything designed for desktop publishing will be appropriate. As will any form of drawing program.
And if you don't want to spend money, get OpenOffice.org (for Draw), or The GIMP (Photoshop clone).
