Sometimes when you minimise it isn't bugged, but when you actually maximise the window you can see that the image behind is screwed up (see attached screenshot because that was a dodgy description :p).

Contact List too ruins the image when it is transparent while being maximized, I've just noticed.

The conversation window problem occurs on my other PC as well:

NOTE: I have Windows XP Home (as Cookie says he isn't having this problem and is on XP Pro)
Windows XP Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178
Messenger Plus! Live 4.23.0.276

It doesn't occur here....

Niether on XP Pro, and I tested this just now on XP Home also. No problems at all. Neither with the contact list.
