O.P. Burning DVD Problem.
Hey. So I had an AVI File, but I converted it with winavi dvd converter 8. And It gave me AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS in a folder called DVD_01_1 or something like that. So opened windows dvd maker, and burned AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS to the disk. But It doesnt play in DVD players. What Did i do wrong.

(note, i just copied the 2 folders from the DVD_01_1 folder without actaully using the DVD_01_1 folder. MAybe I shoulodve just dragged the DVD_01_1 folder to the root? ) thanks

Sorry for basic as question, but did you actually use a burner? lol

Also i only burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS files when i burnt my stuff, also make sure you have the right selection between PAL and NTSC because your DVD player may not support both.

It might be something to do with the CD(or DVD) you are using.

For example; my mum and dad's car stereos, don't play CD-RW, But do play just normal (blank until I burn music on)CDs.

Other than that, make sure you are inserting the disc into a DVD-RW disc drive, and that the burning application you are using, is looking at the right disc, etc.

It might be the region... check that out...

Also, try using another software to burn the disc, like Nero.

Okay! follow these instuctions

1) the video_ts and audio_ts folder you have are fine, dont touch those

- you cannot just burn with windows dvd burner as that burnes them arranged as data files, not as a dvd video. which is why it didnt play

2) download nero, including nero express, one of the last few versions will do.

3) open nero express

4)in nero express select the video tab on the left

5) then select dvd video files

6) drag in the dvd video folder

7) click next, click burn

8) put disk in drive

9) dvd done, test and play and enjoy!

:D
