hi, i was wondering if it was possible for messages sent and received to appear on the same line as the dsplay name.

eg: someone says: hi

instead of

someone says:
  hi

Yes try to follow where some file Id's go, search though them all. It's a good way of trying to track something down.

I also suggest having a test account, or sign in as appear offline

I doubt he/she knows anything about skinning and I can't really be bothered hassling with it because theres no real point.

Well there's always a point because otherwise they won't have the opportunity to learn. Sure this probably isn't the most practical place to start learning but whatever :P

yes i am new to skinning, and perhaps should start with simple things. however, this was one thing that has always bugged me.

ive looked at the styles and defintions of 920, the conversation window but i have no idea where to start. if someone could point me in the right direction i would be grateful.
