Hey guys I'm having trouble with a monitor I got of a friend.

It doesn't display anything other than 'not optimum resolution 1280x1064 60hz needed' or something similar to that (I would check but it's a pain to having to keep switching monitors)

It's brand new and hardly been used.
I've tried a few things but it never worked.

It's a 19'' Samsung SyncMaster 913n.

So is your resolution set to 1280x1024 by 60hz..? Have you tried connecting it up while the computer is off and then starting it up.

I did set it to that, I restarted and I no longer have the option to change the resolution to 1280x1024. Yeah I also tried to it whilst the computer was off.
