O.P. Event log.
Hey all peeps,

I know that there is an event logger into Messenger Plus.
in the picture it's show the events of today.
and it can filter on it by a specific name or email.
I was wondering if it can do filter on the other days by a specific name or email.
So it lets you see only the name or email in the list where you filter on it for days earlier.

greets Coronatus

Nope, can't be done. It's kind of all or nothing.
You can't filter on more than one criteria.

--------

PS: there are some special prefix characters you can use to filter on just a specific column though.
-   for filtering only the Timestamp column
*  for filtering only on the names/sources
+  for filtering only on the E-mai addresses of contacts
/   for filtering only on the Event column

eg: +17  will let you show all the lines for which the email addresses contain the string "17". It will not show the lines where "17" occurs in the timestamp for example.

yes but unfortunately this is for today!
And there is no other things in Messenger Plus so it lets you show on a specific name for the other days.

What u can save  in the log history.
example for a month u save all log history and what i want is to let it filter to show only a specific email adres in that month.

Because if you filter on it than it's light on and it's shows the rest.
But is it possible to show it without the rest and only that email adres registration date?

btw.  tnx for your replay!

RE: Event log.
I'm note quite sure what you're saying/want but either way you can't do that from the Event Viewer.

However, if you also have enabled recording events on disk, you can open the event log in the 'Log Viewer' and search it using the Log Viewer's more advanced search features.

Also note that you can save the event log per month though.
You can also let it record only events for specific contacts.

These two options can be found under:
Plus! > Options & Preferences > Logs > Event Logging > Event Log

However, those settings only work for future events of course. It doesn't work retroactively on existing logs.

O.P. RE: Event log.
I got your point from the earlier reply and that's was clear enough for me about the even viewer.

Yes I did know that before about that event it can checked for specifc persons of course for the future.

but yeah what u already said for the existing logs i need a filter.
but i think it must be a script avaible for that filter option.
Because it's more that u edit the XSL file to output the XML file.
And it's to difficult for me ( I need a long time to study it )
XSL is another programming language for me.
i know more about php,css and html.
But i thought maybe someone knows an option for it that i didnt see, but there isnt any further options for what i hoped...

and again tnx for u suggestions!

Or I guess you could also use the native FIND command in Windows for that matter then.
