RE: finding notepad Error,
If I have this clear, you have file associations back to what they should be on the 'windows' side of things, but you are still having problems with file associations with Plus!?

My first instinct would be to uninstall Plus!, and then reinstall it, as it should reassociiate all the Plus! file types.  (I don't off hand know what the extensions are for Plus! logs, so I didn't know where to look in the Control Panel/Folder Options/File Types)

I've Checked your computer. The Tech problem lies between your keyboard and your chair.

RE: finding notepad Error,
Lets try something here.

type these three lines each into the run command

expand c:\i386\notepad.ex_ c:\windows\system32\dllcache\notepad.exe
expand c:\i386\notepad.ex_ c:\windows\notepad.exe
expand c:\i386\notepad.ex_ c:\windows\system32\notepad.exe

No the C:\i386 may not be a folder on your computer so you will have to switch it to fit your needs.

By that I mean this.

C:\ would be come the CD Rom/CDR/CDRW/DVD/DVDR/DVDRW drive with the Windows XP cd rom in it.
example D:\

(The i386 part stays the same though.)

The extension is *.ple
