O.P. Windows Live Messenger - Windows Live OneCare help.
Hello all.. it's been a long time since i last posted!

I have another problem with the new Windows Live Messenger!
I downloaded Windows Live OneCare, And it's working better than i thought, Theres just one thing that's wrong.
It won't let me sign into WLM with the firewall running, I turn off the firewall and WLM signs in straight away.. And when firewall is on, And i click the allow in the future button. It doesn't do anything, The window closes as if it's going to work, And WLM will work! But then it does the same.. I go to sign in and the little WLM man doesn't even do 1 full revolution, Before i get the error message and the window from Windows Live OneCare..

I get this error code.. *80072efd*

I'm running WLM *8.0.069.00_branches*

Any ideas?

Try going to Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Exceptions and make sure "Windows Live Messenger 8.0" is ticked on the list :)

It seems if you use a patch on WLM, OneCare block Messenger :)

Thankyou Goshi.

I thought it might have been that but didn't wanna un-patch it and then find it don't work!

Guess i'll just have to use and un-patched version :(
