O.P. Can "Close Current Chat" and "Close All Chats" be inverted?
Hi,

Since the version 4.x of MP!L, when we right-click in the taskbar, on a conversation, we have two options: "Close All Chats" and "Close Current Chat". And the option for closing all chats is the first from the bottom, which is not a good idea. Sometimes I am not paying too much attention to what I am doing and I right-click and click in the first option, and... *ups*... all my conversation windows are closed. :S

So, my question is: is there a way to invert these two options and put "Close Current Chat" as the first option from the bottom?

If there is no option for changing this, I think it would be a good idea to Patchou to think about changing it in the next release, because it's always better to close one window, by inadvertence, instead of all of them... (Y)

Do you guys see what I am trying to explain? :D

Thank you!

PS: sorry if this "problem" has already been reported. :$

i see what you are trying to say but people are use to it as it is, and i prefer it like that, and what does it matter if its there? i think you should teach your mind to click up that one more...

also: please dont make a new post when someone is trying to reply to it :) it makes people (aka me) very annoyed and dont really want to agree with your idea

I see what you mean, but I think the reason for this is that any other program you right-click on, the close is at the bottom. So swapping them around could cause confusion because people who want to close all the conversations are going to choose the option at the bottom, because that what you usually do for everything else.

Personally I prefer it that way as you have many other options to be able to close all your chats individually, but no other to close them all at once.  You can middle click on the tab, press Ctrl+F4 or Alt+F4 to close them individually.  Maybe it has something to do with the new way Patchou does the tabs, but realistically I think that Alt+F4 should close them all at once like other programs that use tabs....

(Edit: This is a suggestion, not a repetition of how things work (I felt myself obligatory to add this explanation)) Indeed, Alt+F4 can close individually, and Ctrl+F4 can close all windows. Because we have to hold Ctrl key pressed when clicking on X on a tabbed chat window to close all chats. (Sorry if this has been already suggested.)

I agree with Luised, however this has already been mentioned when we beta tested Plus! and it seemed like Patchou did not want to change it :p

There should be a prompt, asking if you really want to close all chats. Windows Live Messenger itself does this, and I believe it makes a difference :P.
