I think hotmail disables e-mail accounts if you do not login in 90 days. Has it been more than that?

Your account will get disabled yes, but not deleted. it can still be reactivated, you just wouldn't have any email messages or contacts remaining. as for as reclaiming it, you can try contacting some support email, but other than that i do not know.
